Internet Explorer Add-on
Initiate a call from any web page with one click. This add-on searches websites for phone numbers and enables them for one-click calling. The add-on is accessible via an icon on the toolbar to turn the feature on and off if it interferes with a task. The solution also remembers your login credentials to Aptela for seamless login to your User Dashboard.

Installation Instructions
- Close IE
- Download the add-on
- Save the file and make a note of the location. Once the download is completed, navigate to the location where you saved it and double click to launch the installer
- If prompted, click “Run” when presented with a security warning
- Once the installation is complete, click “Close”
- Open IE
- Look for the Aptela logo in the IE toolbar
- Click the icon to disable the service or to change login credentials

The plugin installs a button in the navigation bar.

As you surf the web, you will see that phone numbers appear as a clickable graphic – see below.

The first time you click on a number to call, you will be prompted to enter your Client ID (also called Group Name), username and password for Aptela. The application will save this for future use.

Aptela will call out to your extension (and Find Me List if relevant). Once you answer the call, Aptela will call out the phone number.
Settings
If you need to change your username or client name associated with the plugin. Click on the Aptela icon in the navigation bar and choose “Change login credentials”
Uninstall
- Go to your start menu and then “Control Panel”
- Select “Add or Remove Programs”
- A screen will appear listing all of your programs. Select the “Click-to-Call Plug-in for IE” from the list and click on “Remove”

12/15/2009: Calls initiated from the browser will not display in your Aptela call history
12/20/2009: Windows Vista users with IE 7 cannot install plugin. Vista defaultes IE 7 to run in "Protected Mode". If you wish to install this plugin, you will need to temporarily disable Protect Mode. You may re-enable once you complete installation and enter your Aptela credentials.
1/10/2009: "Launch Aptela" seamless login to the Aptela web portal is not working. Target resolution date, May 2010To configure Protect Mode: Click the "Security Tab", select the "web content zone", and change the "Enable Protected Mode" checkbox. Shut down IE. Install the Click-to-Call plugin for IE. Reopen IE and click on the Aptela icon appearing in the toolbar. Click "Launch Aptela" to enter your Aptela credentials. Once your credentials are entered and accepted, go back to the Security Tab to re-enable Protect Mode.
Note: In protect mode, the plugin will not be able to retain your credentials. You will have to re-enter them on occassion.
