Re-sending Virtual Faxes

You can re-send virtual faxes to the original recipient or to a different one from your web account.  In some cases, the fax may not go through for a variety of reasons including a busy signal, static on the line, no answer, or the receiving fax machine has run out of paper (note: failed faxes are automatically retried twice.)  In other cases, you may need to re-send a previously sent fax to a different recipient. 

To resend to the original recipient:

  1. Go to your History in your user account.
  2. Click on the Faxes tab.
  3. Click on the fax in the Call column and look at the Fax Details that display to the right of the page.
  4. Click on Re-send to resend the fax to the original recipient.  To review the fax before resending, click on View Fax.

NOTE:  If a fax fails to be sent succesfully, the fax content will be deleted after 7 days and unable to re-send or view. Successful faxes are available to view and re-send for up to 90 days.

To re-send to a different recipient:

  1. Go to your History in your user account.
  2. Click on the Faxes tab.
  3. Click on the fax number in the Phone column for the fax you wish to resend.  To view the fax before resending, click on the fax in the Call column then click View Fax in the Fax Details section to the right of the page.
  4. The Send a Fax dialog box will reopen with the original number pre-populated.
  5. Type over the number to enter the new destination fax number.
  6. Follow the dialogue box to send.
