Chrome Extension

The Aptela extension for Google Chrome allows you to call any US number on any website with a single click. The integrated notification system alerts you to new voicemails and faxes, and you can review these messages quickly and easily from within the streamlined extension interface.

Requirements:

  • Aptela v5.x Platform users only
  • Chrome supports:
    • Windows: XP SP2, Vista and 7
    • Mac: OS x 10.5.6 or later
    • Linux: Ubuntu 8.04 or later, Debian 5, OpenSuse 11.1, Fedora Linux 10

Chrome Extension:  Install Now

Installation Instructions:

  1. Close Chrome
  2. Click the “Install Now” button above
  3. Open Chrome

Using the Chrome Extension

The extension installs a button in the navigation bar.

A numeric badge will display the quantity of new voicemails/ faxes. Click on the icon to display your new messages. Click to play voicemails within the browser or to download a fax as a pdf.

As you surf the web, you will see that phone numbers appear as a clickable graphic – see below.

The first time you click on a number to call, you will be prompted to enter your Client ID (also called Group Name), username and password for Aptela. The application will save this for future use.

Settings

You can change your Aptela credentials at any time by right-clicking on the Aptela icon in the navigation bar and choosing “Options.”
