Why does my phone's message light blink when I do not have new voicemail messages?

The Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light on your Aptela supported phone will blink when you receive new voicemail messages. 

Try our quick troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
  1. Log into your user account at my.aptela.com.  
  2. Confirm that you do not have new voicemail messages for your user extension:
    • Click on History at the top of the page.
    • Click on the Voicemail tab.
  3. If you are a department manager, confirm that you do not have any new department voicemails:
    • Click on Home at the top of the page.
    • Go to the Department Dashboard (double click the department in bottom right of page).
    • Click on History at the top of the page.
    • Click on Voicemail tab.
    • Do this for each department you are a manager of.
  4. After confirming that you do not have new voicemail messages, unplug your phone for 10 second then plug it in again.
