Aptela uses a Windows version of MS Word to process Word files, and documents created on a Mac can sometimes look different when processed through Windows.  

Mac OSX prints natively to PDF format.  Try converting your Word document to a PDF file then send the PDF file through Aptela.  To do this, click on the PDF button in the Print dialog box then Save as PDF.
