Including or excluding a cover sheet when sending a virtual fax

When you create your virtual fax, the first page of the Fax Assistant provides you with the option to include a cover sheet.  If you do not want a cover sheet, you may choose not to include one.

If you choose to use a cover sheet, you can provide:
  • The receiving party’s name and company.
  • Subject – a concise description of the fax (e.g., Acme Projects for Q1).
  • Message Body – additional information about your fax (e.g., Here’s the memo with anticipated costs for our project plans.  Please call with any questions).
  • Your name, company, phone and fax number.
TIP: Save time when sending future faxes by Saving your cover sheet.  Aptela will save the Sender Info and will auto-populate it for all subsequent virtual faxes sent from your extension.

If you choose not to include a cover sheet, all of your subsequent faxes will not include a cover sheet.  At anytime you can re-enable the fax cover sheet by clicking on “Include cover sheet”.  If you saved a previous cover sheet, the saved information will also be restored.
