With the Aptela extension for Mozilla Firefox, you can initiate a call from any web page with just one click. The add-on searches websites for valid US phone numbers and turns them into clickable links. You can also add a toolbar button that allows you to log into the Aptela web application quickly and easily.
System Requirements
- Firefox 3.5 and above
Installing the Firefox Extension
Click here to go to Mozilla's add-on repository, then click "Download Now" to install the extension.
Using the Firefox Extension
After installing the extension and restarting your browser, you will be prompted to enter your Aptela login credentials. Enter your Client ID, User Name and Password in the fields provided and click "Login." You may now close the preferences window and browse the internet as normal.
When you encounter a valid US phone number on a web site, it will be highlighted with an orange border. Clicking on that phone number will place a call to your Find Me List and connect you to the number that you've selected.
To add the Aptela toolbar button to your Firefox UI, go to View → Toolbars → Customize. Then drag the Aptela button to wherever you would like to place it on the toolbar.
