Can I change a User from Mobile to VoIP service or vice versa?

To change a Mobile user to VoIP or a VoIP user to Mobile, the admin must first delete the user that needs changed and then create a new one with the desired user type.  Please note that custom settings, such as voicemail greeting, additional Find Me List entries, Call Screening, etc. will need to be reestablished for the new extension.


When deleting an extension
:

  • The extension will permanently be removed from the Aptela service, and the extension’s call history, including voicemail and faxes, will be erased.  Please save any information before pressing Delete.
  • If the extension has a phone number or Menu option assigned to it, you must reassign the necessary setting(s) to another destination to delete the extension.  Be sure to reassign the setting(s) to the new extension after creating it.
