Find instructions below to auto-start the Aptlea Desktop App when your computer starts. The instructions are for users of Windows XP, Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.

Windows XP

1. Open the Start menu folder
   • Right click on the Start menu, select Open
   • Double click on Programs
   • Double click on Startup
2. Find the Aptela Desktop program
   • Go to My Computer
   • Click to open the Program Files folder
   • Click to open the Aptela Desktop folder,  C:\Program Files\AptelaDesktop
   • Within this folder, you will see AptelaDesktop.exe 
   • Right click on AptelaDesktop.exe and select Create Shortcut
3. Create a shortcut for Aptela Desktop in the Start folder
   • Drag and drop the shotrcut version of AptelaDesktop.exe into the Startup folder that you already opened.
4. The Startup folder will now contain ‘Shortcut to AptelaDesktop’. The next time your PC starts up, the Aptela Desktop will start automatically

Windows 7

1. Click on the Start/Windows menu in the bottom left of the screen to open it
   • Click All Programs and scroll down until you see Startup folder icon
   • Right click Startup folder and choose Explore
2. Find the Aptela Desktop program
   • Go to My Computer
   • Click to open the Program Files folder
   • Click to open the Aptela Desktop folder, C:\Program Files\AptelaDesktopto 
   • Within this folder, you will see AptelaDesktop.exe
   • Right click on AptelaDesktop.exe and select Create Shortcut
3. Create a shortcut for Aptela Desktop in the Start folder
   • Drag and drop the shotrcut version of AptelaDesktop.exe into the Startup folder that you already opened.
4. The Startup folder will now contain ‘Shortcut to AptelaDesktop’. The next time your PC starts up, the Aptela Desktop will start automatically

Mac OS 10

1. Open System Preferences
2. In the System section, double-click Accounts
3. In Accounts, select your account name
4. Click Login Items to see a list of the start-up items
5. On the Login Items screen, click the plus sign (+) and in the resultant dialog, navigate to the location on your drive where the Aptela Desktop application was installed
6. Select AptelaDesktop and click Add
7. The next time your Mac starts up, Aptela Desktop will start automatically
