To assign or reassign a number:
- Log into the administrator web account: my.aptela.com.
- Click on Phone Numbers at the top of the page.
- Click on Routing tab.
- Click on the phone number that you wish to reassign.
- Click on Edit Selected button.
- Use the Destination Type drop down to select where you wish the number to point to (see Image A below). Options include:
- Auto attendant
- User extension
- Leave voicemail
- Check voicemail
- Conference extension
- Fax machine extension
- Virtual fax
- Within the Destination Target box, select the specific extension or option related to the destination type that the number should call (See Image B below). Example, if you select destination type of "extension", select the actual user extension number in this list. Or if your office has multiple auto attendants, select the relevant attendant this number should ring to.
- Click Save.
- Make a test call to the number to confirm it is assigned and routing correctly.
