How to Port a Local Phone Number

To initiate the porting process, complete the required forms below:
  1. Aptela Porting Request Form -  This form collects your Aptela account and contact information, as well as how your porting numbers should be assigned, or if Aptela should remove any temporary numbers from your account, once the port completes.
  2. Letter of Agency to Port Local Telephone Numbers - This form collects the numbers you wish to port to Aptela and company contact information. Be sure that the information provided matches the information your previous carrier has on file.
  3. Copy of a recent bill from your current provider.
Fax these documents to     (202) 747-2049          or email in PDF format to aptelaports@vocalocity.com.

Next steps
  1. Within three days, you will receive confirmation of receipt along with a request for additional information, if required.
  2. Aptela will send updates via email including the projected port date, notification of completion and more.
  3. The process may take up to six weeks to complete.
Each new account receives two free ports. Additional porting requests are billed at $14.99/per number. Charges will be applied upon port completion.
