Porting phone numbers associated with a Hunt Group will delay the porting process. This primarily applies to businesses that use a Centrex hosted solution through their current provider.
If the phone number(s) you would like to port is currently linked to a Hunt Group, please call your existing provider to remove those numbers from the Hunt Group prior to submitting the porting request to Aptela.
There is no need to port every telephone number associated with the Hunt Group. We recommend that you port over the telephone number(s) that your customers know. One of the great benefits about Aptela is that we allow you to receive multiple, simultaneous calls without a Hunt Group.
