Custom Audios (voicemail greetings, hold music, transfer audios and more)

Custom audios can be created for any extension. Audios include: directory name prompt, custom hold music, inbound audio transfer, ring audio, and voicemail greeting. To create custom audios:
  1. Log in to www.aptela.com/my-account
  2. Click on the My Account tab
  3. Click on the Call Preferences tab
For any of these audios, you will have the ability to:
  1. Record with desk phone. Enter a phone number to call and follow the prompts to record a message. Press # to end your recording. Press 1 to save and apply the recording.
  2. Upload a file. Search your desktop for an existing audio file.
  3. Reset to default. Restores the audio to the Aptela default.

Audios to Customize include:
Username Prompt:  This audio should clearly state your name. This audio is heard when callers select "Dial by Name" from your company's auto attendant menu. The default audio plays the department extension number.

Inbound Transfer Audio:  This audio plays when a call is being connected to or transferred to this extension. The default audio is, "Please hold while I locate your party."

Ring Audio: This is audio will play while the call is transferring to this extension. The default audio is ringing.

Custom Hold Music: Play custom hold music or an audio message while callers are on hold. The default audio is the hold music assigned to your account by your admin.

Voicemail Greeting: When an inbound caller is transferred to your voicemail, this is the audio that callers will hear prior to leaving their message. The default audio is, "Please leave your message after the beep. When finished, press pound or hang up."

Audio formats supported:  MP3 and WAV
File size maximum:  1 hour or 30MB
