Your custom voicemail greeting can be set up quickly via the phone or the web portal. The user name prompt recording is essential for the Dial by Name auto attendant option and intra-company transfers to be identified correctly.

Via the Phone

Access your Aptela voicemail from your desk phone, another employee’s phone or an outside phone.

From your desk phone
•  Dial 8*
From another account phone
•  Dial 8* then your extension number
From outside phones
•  Dial your company's phone number
•  Press *

To navigate through the Voicemail Menu:
•  Enter extension & PIN, if required
•  Your voicemails will begin playing automatically
•  Select 0 for more options
•  Press 0 to set up voicemail
•  Press 1 to record your name
•  Press 2 to record your voicemail greeting
•  Record your audio prompt then press #.  The system will playback your audio.
•  Press 1 to save

Via the Web Portal

1. Log in to you user account at my.aptela.com
2. Click the My Account tab in the main navigation
3. Click the Call Preferences tab 
4. Find Voicemail Greeting
5. Click Change
6. Click Record with desk phone.  Aptela will call your Find Me List
7. Record your message then press 1 to save it
